California Foreclosure Laws and Information
According to California Foreclosure Law, the lender goes through a process known as non-judicial foreclosure. In California foreclosure law, this type of process does not require court action. When the deed of trust is initially signed it will contain a provision called a power of sale clause- which allows the trustee to sell the property in order to satisfy the loan. California is also known as a non-tax sale certificate state. However, the state of California does allow tax deed auctions.
